One of our best-selling products is the Pitman Arm Tool Collection, designed to revolutionize u-joint service. The Dual Cap Installer allows you to install two bearing caps simultaneously, streamlining the process for medium and light-duty u-joints. Crafted from high-grade steel, this tool is built to last and withstand the rigors of frequent use, ensuring long-lasting performance and reliability.

The Dual Cap Installer is compatible with a wide range of vehicles, including Ford F-150/350, Chevrolet 1500/3500, and Ram 1500/3500, among others. It works on bearing caps with a minimum diameter of .85" and has a max opening of 5.675" and a throat depth of 2.2".

Using the Dual Cap Installer is simple and efficient. It features an encased magnet that holds the new bearing cap in place over the yoke assembly, opposite the forcing screw. The plunger at the end of the forcing screw allows for positioning of the second bearing cap. By applying an impact or hand wrench to the forcing screw, the first bearing cap is secured in place, allowing for the installation of the first retaining clip. After rotating the u-joint, the process is repeated, effectively installing both bearing caps.
